Hugh Berry is a Filmmaker and Actor based in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from Cornish College of the Arts (cum laude) with a B.F.A. in Theater and a Special Emphasis in Video Production. Hugh's work on both sides of the camera has encompassed many formats and a variety of positions, including an Award Winning short film he wrote and directed, (data rapture) as well as Acting in Award Winning projects that have been released Internationally. Hugh has written several Feature Films, in various Genres from; Comedy, Sci-Fi, Drama, Horror as well as a TV Pilot. He is the Founder of "Status Factory Productions". He is from Seattle, Washington, and has a BFA in Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts. He was a championship indoor and outdoor volleyball player as a youth. He first published poetry at the age of seventeen. Hugh's entry into the untethered.tv 48 hour film challenge 2010 entitled "data rapture" won the Awards for Best Film and Best Art Direction and their endeavor chronicled and featured in an online article. Hugh's performance in the movie "Mulletville" was noted in a review of the film, which won Best Film at the New Jersey International Film Festival.

The main character is a veteran of the Afghanistan war, and the film has PTSD and its treatment with cannabis as an underlying theme. Shot entirely on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, the movie stars Julian Gavilanes and Russell Hodgkinson of Sy-Fy's Z-Nation.
